1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Careertimeline ("the App") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Permitted Use
Careertimeline is licensed for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the App to track your own job applications, build and manage your professional profile, and access AI-assisted career tools for your personal career development.
3. Prohibited Use
You may not: (a) use the App for commercial purposes without written permission; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; (c) use the App to generate content intended to deceive employers or misrepresent qualifications; (d) attempt to access other users' data; (e) use the App in any manner that violates applicable law.
4. AI-Generated Content
The App generates career documents (cover letters, interview answers, job analyses) using Apple Intelligence on-device on supported iPhones, or via third-party AI APIs when you connect your own key. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and using any AI-generated content. Careertimeline makes no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific circumstances.
5. Free Tier, Trial & Subscriptions
Careertimeline is free to use, including all AI features — we never charge for AI, which runs on Apple Intelligence or your own connected key. New users get a 7-day trial of Pro. After the trial the core app remains free; Pro unlocks the productivity system (unlimited Smart Import and AI documents, Insights, PDF export, multiple profiles, the large agenda widget, advanced tags and search).
Pro is available through the App Store in the following options:
- Pro Monthly — auto-renewing subscription, US$4.99 per month (or local equivalent).
- Pro Yearly — auto-renewing subscription, US$24.99 per year (or local equivalent), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase, US$59.99 (or local equivalent). Not a subscription; no recurring billing.
Auto-renewing subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. The Pro Lifetime purchase is one-time with no renewal.
Billing & refunds. All payments are processed by Apple. Careertimeline never sees or stores your payment details. Refund requests are subject to Apple's standard policy and must be requested directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and non-user-generated content are the property of Careertimeline and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your job application data and profile content remain yours.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Careertimeline shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost job opportunities.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Careertimeline operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or the applicable courts in that jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Contact: [email protected]
