1. We Collect No Data

Careertimeline has no servers and no backend. We do not collect, receive, store, or have any access to your personal data. Everything you enter — your name, email, job applications, notes, tasks, reminders, and resume profiles — is stored only on your device, under your control. It never reaches us because there is nowhere for it to go.

2. What This Means

Because there is no server, we cannot sell, share, rent, or lose your data. There is no behavioural advertising, no usage profiling, no data brokers, and no analytics or tracking. We do not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone. Your information lives on your iPhone and is protected by iOS, exactly like the rest of your device's data.

3. AI Is Optional and Goes Through You, Not Us

The app works fully offline. AI features are optional. When you choose to use one, it runs on-device with Apple Intelligence (nothing leaves your iPhone), or — if you connect your own Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini key — the relevant text is sent directly from your device to that provider over an encrypted HTTPS connection using your key. Careertimeline is never in the middle: we do not see, route, or store that request or your key (your key is held in the iOS Keychain on your device). Using a third-party AI provider means going online and is entirely your choice; that interaction is governed by your own agreement with that provider, not with us. 4. Local Storage

All app data (jobs, profiles, planner items, settings) is stored locally on your device using iOS on-device storage. Nothing is uploaded to any Careertimeline server, because there isn't one. Your data does not leave your device except when you explicitly trigger an AI feature with a connected third-party key.

5. iCloud Sync

Careertimeline offers optional iCloud sync. When enabled, your data is synced through your own private iCloud account so it stays in step across your Apple devices. It is encrypted under your Apple account, and Careertimeline has no access to it. Any iCloud data is covered by Apple's iCloud privacy policy.

6. Authentication

Sign in with Apple is handled entirely by Apple's framework; the resulting identifier and any name/email you share are stored only on your device. If you use email sign-in, those details are likewise stored only on your device. We never receive your credentials.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your credentials and all associated local data from your device. No residual data is retained by Careertimeline.

8. Purchases & Subscriptions

All in-app purchases and subscriptions (Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly, Pro Lifetime) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Careertimeline never sees or stores your payment method or billing information. Your subscription status is verified locally on your device via Apple's StoreKit framework. 9. Children's Privacy

Careertimeline is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy by updating the "Last updated" date and providing an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
