Which devices does Careertimeline support?
Version 2.0 is native on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. All three share the same data — turn on iCloud Sync in Settings → iCloud Sync and your jobs, planner, and notes stay in sync across every device signed into your Apple ID.
How do the AI features work?
On supported devices (iPhone 15 Pro and later, iPad and Mac with Apple Intelligence), AI features run entirely on-device — no key needed and nothing leaves your device. On older devices, add your own API key from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, or Google (Gemini) in Settings → AI Assistants. When a key is used, text goes directly to your chosen provider — never through our servers. The core app works fully offline with no AI at all.
Do I need Apple Intelligence turned on?
Only for on-device AI features. Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri on your device and enable it. If it's off or unavailable, you can still use the app with your own API key or skip AI entirely.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your jobs, notes, and profiles are stored on your device only. iCloud Sync (when enabled) uses your own iCloud account — we have no access to it. We collect nothing and run no tracking or analytics. See our Privacy Policy and Data & AI Transparency page.
Does my Pro subscription work on all my devices?
Yes. Careertimeline Pro is tied to your Apple ID, not a single device. Buy once on iPhone and it's automatically active on your iPad and Mac — as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID. No extra steps needed.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Careertimeline Pro is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the current period.
Does the focus timer show on the Lock Screen?
Yes — while a timer runs it appears on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on iPhone. If it doesn't appear, enable it in iOS Settings → Careertimeline → Live Activities.
How do I back up or move my data?
Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings → iCloud Sync — your data will be available on any device signed into your Apple ID. You can also export any job to PDF from its detail screen.
Can I add tags to notes?
Yes — open any note in the Planner and type a tag in the tag bar below the title. Tags appear as chips on the note cards and are searchable with the search bar at the top of the Notes section. You can also search by typing #tagname.
Why does the home-screen widget show sample data?
The widget reads live data from the app. Make sure you've opened the app at least once after installing, and that the widget is the "Pipeline" widget (not a generic one). If it still shows samples, remove and re-add the widget — this forces a data refresh.
